The Premier Latex Hybrid provides roughly average motion isolation, which means that it helps reduce but may not fully eliminate motion-based disruptions at night. The reason for this is that the bounce of both the coils and the latex means that there’s a higher degree of motion transfer than on a memory foam bed or a hybrid with a memory foam based comfort system.
Despite this, the latex and the individually-wrapped coils can cut down on enough motion transfer to maintain comfortable and disturbance-free sleep for the majority of couples. Motion transfer is most likely to be a problem for people who are easily awoken and share a bed with someone who moves frequently in their sleep.

Price Range: $1,399 – $2,099
Mattress Type: Latex Hybrid
Firmness Options: Medium Firm (6)
Pros & Cons:
The Awara Premier Latex Hybrid is produced by Resident, a home products company that is also behind several other popular mattresses including:
- The Nectar (memory foam mattress)
- The DreamCloud (hybrid)
- Level Sleep (zoned foam mattress)
All of the Resident mattresses, including Awara models, have won over customers with their solid performance and competitive price points. The Premier Latex Hybrid further distinguishes itself with its use of durable latex and eco-friendly materials.
The Euro-top cover of this mattress is made with organic cotton and 100% organic New Zealand wool, and the Dunlop latex in the comfort system is certified for its sustainability by the Rainforest Alliance. Awara also donates a portion of their sales to Trees for the Future for each mattress sold, allowing each purchase to contribute to important reforestation projects in Africa. The company offers another mattress model, the Organic Latex Hybrid, which features the same core materials but lacks the Premier’s Euro-top surface.
As a latex hybrid, the Premier stands out for its bounce, making it a top pick for people who hate feeling stuck in the bed and prioritize a mattress that’s easy to move on top of. It provides moderate contouring to relieve pressure and has top-notch temperature control, a major plus for hot sleepers.
The Premier Latex Hybrid offers excellent value for its price, and it comes with a 365-night sleep trial and a lifetime warranty to offer customers reassurance that they’ll be satisfied with the mattress over the short- and long-term. We’ll break down everything you need to know about the mattress, from its construction and performance to reviews and company policies, to help you understand whether or not it’s right for you.

Sleeping Style and Body Weight
Like all mattresses, the Premier Latex Hybrid works better for some people than others. Two key factors that can affect who gets the best results from the Premier Latex Hybrid are sleeping position and body weight.
Side Sleepers:
The Premier Latex Hybrid is a solid fit for almost all side sleepers and is especially good for side sleepers who weigh over 130 pounds. Side sleepers typically need extra compression of the comfort system around their hips and shoulders to keep their body in a natural, healthy alignment. While latex does not offer the deep hug of some other materials, it is effective at cushioning pressure points without suffering from excessive sagging or bottoming out. This means that people over 130 pounds usually find the Premier Latex Hybrid to be sturdy, comfortable, and effective at promoting spinal alignment. Some side sleepers under 130 pounds find the Premier Latex Hybrid to be a bit too firm and lacking in its conforming.
Back Sleepers
People who sleep on their back and weigh 130 pounds or more are a solid match for the Premier Latex Hybrid. To prevent pain in the lumbar spine, back sleepers need a mattress that is firm enough to limit serious sagging while at the same time offering enough cushioning to contour to the curve in the lower back. A latex hybrid with a medium firm feel hits all those criteria, and the softer wool and cotton layers add an inviting touch of comfort. Back sleepers under 130 pounds often enjoy the Premier Latex Hybrid, but some will likely find that it is just a bit too firm for their needs.
Stomach Sleepers
The Premier Latex Hybrid is a good choice for the majority of stomach sleepers. People in this position tend to need a firmer bed that can keep their abdomen from sinking into the bed and pulling their body into a U-shape. They also need enough firmness and responsiveness to make sure they don’t feel swallowed up by their mattress. On these counts, the Premier Latex Hybrid is a solid fit. It has modest cradling and plenty of bounce, both of which usually suit the needs of stomach sleepers.
The main caveat is that some stomach sleepers ultimately opt for firm (7-8 on the firmness scale) mattresses, especially if they have a higher weight and place greater pressure on the mattress. For that reason, the Premier Latex Hybrid is workable for any stomach sleeper but it may be most well-suited for those under 130 pounds.

Awara Premier Latex Hybrid Mattress Review Breakdown
The Premier is a hybrid mattress, which means that it combines an innerspring support core with a significant comfort system. More specifically, we classify the mattress as a latex hybrid because its comfort system is powered by latex.
The interior of the mattress is built with two components. The bottom component is the support core that measures nine inches tall and is made with pocketed innerspring coils. This type of coils is created by wrapping each spring in cloth, and then the cloth covers are sewn together.
The pocketed-coil design allows the springs to have more independent range of motion while remaining attached to the coils nearby. As a result, they provide greater motion isolation and contouring than traditional springs.
The comfort system is built with 4 inches of durable Dunlop latex. This is a natural latex product that meets the standards of the Rainforest Alliance, a non-profit group that focuses on sustainability and rainforest conservation. This latex contributes a bouncy feel with moderate conforming and well-above-average durability.
The cover of the Premier Latex Hybrid is made with both organic cotton and organic wool. These materials are quilted into a Euro-style pillow-top that has a sleek look and a comfortable feel. Along the sides and bottom is a cotton and polyester blend that has four reinforced handles, making it simpler to move the mattress or adjust its position in your bedroom.
The mattress clocks in at a total of 12 inches tall, giving it a profile that is relatively tall but also able to work well with almost all standard fitted sheets.
The Premier Latex Hybrid has a medium firm feel that is around a six on the typical firmness scale. It contours to the body’s weight but does not have deep hug or cradling.

Mattress Prices and Sizing
Traditionally, latex was among the more expensive mattress materials, but it has become more affordable in recent years, making latex beds and latex hybrids a solid value. The Premier Latex Hybrid is a reflection of this trend as it is offered at a price that is lower than most all-latex or hybrid mattresses.
Given its durability, robust construction, eco-conscious materials, extra-long sleep trial, and lifetime warranty, the Premier Latex Hybrid’s competitive price point makes it a leading value among hybrid beds.
Awara is committed to supporting Trees for the Future, a non-profit initiative that will plant trees as part of reforestation projects in Africa for every Awara mattress sold.
The prices in the following table are the retail (MSRP) price. Promotions are frequently available to reduce these prices further, and deals may also be offered for bundles that include an Awara bed frame.

Trial, Warranty, and Shipping Policies
The Premier Latex Hybrid is only available online. The primary place to buy this mattress is on the Awara website. It is also sold on Amazon, but if purchased there, returns and customer support comes from Amazon rather than Awara.
The Premier Latex Hybrid is offered in all of the United States. No international orders or shipping are available.
Each Premier Latex Hybrid comes with free ground shipping for customers located in the contiguous 48 U.S. states. The mattress usually arrives within a week and comes delivered as a mattress-in-a-box.
This type of shipping involves the mattress being compressed in plastic so that it will fit in a delivery box that arrives at your door. To install the mattress, you bring that box to your bedroom, unpack the mattress, and allow it to regain its full size. Given its weight, it normally takes two to three people to move the box and position the mattress, especially if it’s a queen or king size.
While shipping is free for the contiguous U.S., there are extra charges that apply for shipping to Alaska and Hawaii. Customers in those two states can check with Awara for current shipping rates.
A White Glove delivery service is available in the 48 contiguous U.S. states. This service includes setup of the Premier Latex Hybrid in the room of your choosing as well as the removal of an old mattress if requested. White Glove delivery costs $149. This charge is not refundable if you decide to return the mattress.
Awara offers its customers a sleep trial of 365 nights. There is a required 30-night try-out period during which you cannot return the bed. After those 30 nights, the 365-night trial begins. During that 365-night period, you can return the mattress for a full refund with no return fees. Awara works with customers who request a return to arrange for mattress pickup and donation.
The Premier Latex Hybrid comes with a Forever Warranty that covers the mattress for as long as you own it. As with most mattress warranties, this Forever Warranty covers defects in materials and manufacturing but not normal wear-and-tear.
The exact coverage provided by the Forever Warranty changes slightly over time.
During the first 10 years, Awara will replace a defective mattress at zero cost to the customer. Awara covers all shipping charges during this period.
Starting in year 11, Awara will repair or replace a defective mattress depending on the nature of the problem. Customers are required to pay a $50 shipping charge each way, but that fee is waived if Awara confirms the presence of a mattress defect.
